Case Description
Overview: This parking management system is designed for a large-scale, multi-user parking facility, providing both temporary and season-based access for vehicles. The system integrates advanced technologies like UHF long-range readers, short-range readers, loop detectors, and IP cameras for enhanced security, efficient access control, and accurate transaction processing.
Key Components and Configuration:
Entry Parking Paper Ticket Dispenser (1 Set)
The Entry Ticket Dispenser automatically dispenses paper tickets to vehicles entering the parking facility. These tickets may contain QR codes, barcodes, or magnetic strips for identification and tracking purposes. The dispenser ensures a smooth entry process for non-registered vehicles, who will pay based on their parking duration.
Exit Control Panel (1 Set)
Located at the exit gate, the Exit Control Panel is responsible for processing exit requests. It checks for payment, validates the access card or ticket, and controls the barrier gate opening. It interfaces with the parking software for real-time data management.
IP Cameras for Recording (2 Pcs)
IP cameras are placed at key locations, such as entry and exit gates, to record vehicle movements for security and monitoring purposes. These cameras provide real-time surveillance footage, which can be accessed remotely and can help in case of disputes or incidents.
UHF Long Range Reader for Season Stickers (2 Sets)
These UHF readers are designed for season pass holders who use RFID stickers on their vehicles. The long-range UHF readers automatically detect the season sticker as the vehicle approaches the entrance or exit, allowing for seamless access without the need for physical contact or action by the driver.
13.56 MHz Short Range Reader for Season People (1 Set)
Installed at both the entry and exit points, this short-range reader is used for reading 13.56 MHz RFID cards. It is used by season ticket holders who carry RFID access cards, ensuring quick, touch-free access to the parking facility.
Barrier Gates (2 Pcs)
Two automatic barrier gates are installed at the entry and exit points. These gates are controlled by the Entry Control Panel and Exit Control Panel, which activate the gates based on vehicle detection, payment validation, or access permissions. The gates ensure controlled and secure entry/exit.
Loop Detectors for Trigger Dispenser (1 Pc)
This loop detector is embedded in the pavement near the entrance to trigger the Entry Ticket Dispenser. When a vehicle approaches, the loop detector detects the presence of the vehicle and signals the dispenser to issue a parking ticket.
Loop Detectors for Trigger UHF (2 Pcs)
These loop detectors are installed at strategic points to trigger the UHF long-range readers for season pass holders. As vehicles with RFID season stickers approach, the loop detectors signal the UHF reader to activate and authenticate the vehicle’s access, allowing for seamless entry or exit.
Loop Detectors for Barrier Gate Safety (2 Pcs)
Safety loop detectors are installed in the pavement near the barrier gates to ensure vehicle presence and prevent the gates from closing when a vehicle is still within the detection range. This minimizes the risk of accidents or damage to the vehicle.
Charging Computer and Accessories (1 Set)
The Charging Computer is responsible for processing payment transactions for vehicles based on the parking duration or the type of access card. It communicates with the Entry/Exit Control Panels to record entry and exit times, calculates the parking fee, and manages payment processing. Additional accessories ensure connectivity, such as cables, network interfaces, and backup power.
Parking Software (1 Set)
The Parking Software provides centralized control and monitoring of the entire parking facility. It tracks vehicles entering and exiting, manages ticketing and payment processing, monitors real-time space availability, and generates reports for administrators. The software also integrates with all the hardware components, allowing remote configuration and management.
Temporary Cards, Season Cards, and Season Vehicle Stickers
Temporary Cards: Issued to one-time parkers, these cards are used for short-term parking and are scanned upon entry and exit to track the parking duration and charge accordingly.
Season Cards: RFID cards issued to regular users (such as employees, tenants, or subscribers). These cards allow for quick access to the parking lot without the need for manual interaction.
Season Vehicle Stickers: RFID stickers attached to vehicles for long-range identification. These stickers allow season pass holders to access the parking facility without stopping or interacting with entry systems.
How the System Works:
Vehicle Entry:
Temporary Parkers: When a vehicle approaches the entrance, the loop detector triggers the Entry Ticket Dispenser to issue a paper ticket. The vehicle proceeds into the parking lot, and the entry time is recorded in the parking system.
Season Pass Holders: As the vehicle with a season sticker approaches, the UHF Long Range Reader detects the RFID sticker and grants immediate access without requiring the vehicle to stop. The 13.56 MHz Short Range Reader can also be used for season card holders.
Vehicle Exit:
Temporary Parkers: The vehicle reaches the exit gate, and the Exit Control Panel validates the ticket or payment. The loop detector at the exit confirms the vehicle’s presence and triggers the opening of the barrier gate once the fee is paid.
Season Pass Holders: The UHF Long Range Reader detects the vehicle's RFID sticker, allowing quick exit without the need for stopping or manual validation. The Loop Detectors ensure that the barrier gate doesn’t close prematurely.
Security & Monitoring:
IP cameras continuously record vehicle movements at the entrance, exit, and critical areas of the parking facility. In case of disputes or security concerns, footage can be reviewed for verification.
Fee Calculation and Payment:
The Charging Computer calculates parking fees based on the duration of stay or type of access. Payment can be made at the exit through various methods (e.g., cash, card, or mobile payment). The system confirms payment before opening the exit barrier.
Parking Space Management:
The Parking Software monitors the availability of spaces in real time, keeping track of entry and exit times. It can generate reports on parking utilization, income, and system performance, allowing for better management and optimization of the parking facility.
Conclusion:
This integrated parking system combines advanced access control, payment processing, and security features to provide a seamless experience for both temporary and season pass holders. The use of UHF and short-range readers, loop detectors, and IP cameras ensures efficient and secure operation, making the system ideal for busy parking lots and multi-user environments.
