Designed for integrated parking access control, this vehicle loop detector sensor provides reliable vehicle detection for barrier gates, LPR cameras, ticket dispensers, and parking management systems. It works with an induction loop installed beneath the road surface and detects changes in loop inductance when a vehicle enters, remains within, or leaves the sensing area. The detector then sends relay signals to connected equipment, helping automate vehicle entry, exit, safety control, and transaction workflows.
For barrier gate applications, the detector can generate a trigger signal when a vehicle arrives and provide continuous presence output while the vehicle remains above the loop. This allows the barrier controller to open at the correct time and helps prevent the boom arm from closing before the vehicle has fully cleared the protected area. Adjustable relay release delays from 0 to 30 seconds provide additional flexibility for gate hold-open control, delayed closing, and closely spaced vehicle passage.
When connected to an LPR camera, the detector can trigger image capture only after a vehicle reaches the designated position, helping reduce unnecessary snapshots caused by pedestrians or background movement. It can also work with ticket or card dispensers so that ticket collection, card reading, or payment functions are enabled only when a vehicle is present. Configurable entry pulse, exit pulse, and presence output modes allow the same detector to support different parking system control requirements.
The detector offers 16 selectable sensitivity levels and supports a wide loop inductance range of 15–2000 μH. Installers can adjust detection performance according to loop dimensions, installation depth, electrical interference, and target vehicle type. Automatic Sensitivity Boost helps maintain stable detection of trucks, trailers, and high-chassis vehicles, while four selectable operating frequencies help reduce crosstalk between nearby loops in multi-lane installations.
Suitable for commercial car parks, residential communities, office buildings, industrial sites, toll lanes, and controlled entrances, this vehicle loop detector sensor provides a practical interface between road-embedded detection loops and parking equipment. Its flexible relay functions, adjustable sensitivity, presence monitoring, and compatibility with common access control devices support safer barrier operation, more accurate vehicle triggering, and smoother parking system automation.
(1)Power Led: RED Power LED Indicates “Power ON”
Sensitivity of the loop can be adjusted by the trimpot labeled “Sensitivity”. User can select 16 different setting by turning the trimpot with 0 being the least sensitive and “F” being the most sensitive.
1. DIP 1 & DIP 2 Setting Special Functions
2. DIP 3 & DIP 4 Setting Relay B Output
3. DIP 5 Setting Automatic Reset
4. DIP 6 & DIP 7 & DIP 8 Setting Relay A Delay
5. DIP 9 & DIP 10 Setting Frequency (40 K to 100 KHz). Used to avoid the interference
When the control box is installed within 10 metres of the loop, normal wires can be used to connect the control box to the loop. More than 10 metres requires the use of a 2 core shielded cable. Do not exceed 30 metres distance between control box and loop.
The loops are sealed using a “quick-set” black epoxy compound or hot bitumen mastic to blend with the roadway surface.
