The Dual Channel Vehicle Loop Detector for Sliding Gate Control with Direction and Presence Detection provides a practical sensing solution for automatic sliding gate entrances where the control system needs to know not only whether a vehicle is present, but also how it is moving through the access lane. Two independent channels, CH1 and CH2, can monitor separate induction loops and use the loop activation sequence to determine vehicle travel direction. Depending on the selected operating mode, the detector can provide directional detection, continuous vehicle presence output, entry pulse, or exit pulse signals. These relay outputs can be integrated with sliding gate controllers and other access automation equipment to support vehicle-triggered opening, passage confirmation, and more accurate entrance/exit management.

For sites with different vehicle sizes and loop layouts, each channel offers 8 selectable sensitivity levels, independent frequency adjustment, and compatibility with loop inductance from 20 to 2000 μH. The Automatic Sensitivity Boost (ASB) function helps maintain detection when trucks, trailers, articulated vehicles, or high-chassis vehicles move across the sensing area, while permanent presence and automatic reset options provide flexibility for both short vehicle passages and extended occupancy. Six selectable operating modes, dedicated CH1/CH2 relay outputs, DIP-switch configuration, and LED status and fault indication simplify system setup and commissioning. Available in LD-200 100–240 VAC and LD-202 12–24 V versions, this dual channel loop detector is well suited to sliding gate entrances, parking access lanes, industrial gates, logistics facilities, and other automated vehicle access applications requiring dependable direction and presence detection.

• 9. Anti-crosstalk interference.
  • Through the dip Switch, the frequency of the loop detector can be adjusted to prevent crosstalk interference caused by the installation of two loop coils too close.

The LD-200 series detector may be configured for any one of the following modes:

• CH1 Detecting Led:Continuously On: Indicates vehicle detection.
• Blinking Slowly: Indicates loop is short circuit or the number of twists after the loop is not enough.
• Blinking Fast: Indicates loop is open circuit or too many twists after the loop.
• CH2 Detecting Led:Continuously On: Indicates vehicle detection.
• Blinking Slowly: Indicates loop is short circuit or the number of twists after the loop is not enough.
• Blinking Fast: Indicates loop is open circuit or too many twists after the loop.

• Sensitivity and frequency of the loop can be adjusted by 7-way dip switch and 10-way dip switch setting.
• User can select 8 different setting by changing the setting of the dip-switch to different modes as in the dip-switch setting tables below. Dip switch 6, 7 and 8 for CH1 sensitivity selection with 0.8 being the least sensitive and 0.015 being the most sensitive.
• Dip switch 3, 4 and 5 for CH2 sensitivity selection with 0.8 being the least sensitive and 0.015 being the most sensitive.

Reset Button: Please note: The LD-200 must be reset every time a setting change is made to the Dip switches.

The loops are sealed using a “quick-set” black epoxy compound or hot bitumen mastic to blend with the roadway surface.
